Linux Foundation Public Health Adopts the Covid Credentials Initiative

Linux Foundation Public Health adopts Covid Credentials Initiative

The Covid Credentials Initiative, co-founded in March by Proof Market with an industry consortium of companies and digital identity experts, has developed frameworks and best practices for widely distributed adoption of private, portable, and verifiable COVID-19 related verifiable credentials.

Linux Foundation Public Health (LFPH), the organization that builds, secures and sustains open source software to help Public Health Authorities (PHAs) around the world combat COVID-19 and future epidemics, today announced it will host the COVID-19 Credentials Initiative, a privacy-preserving Verifiable Credentials (VCs) effort focused on interoperability.

This is a major step forward for all of the hardworking volunteers and community members that have contributed to CCI.  Congratulations, we are excited for the next chapter of CCI as part of the Linux Foundation Public Health!
